Sleigh Ride for Teddy

Morning Lovely Bloggers...

Just a quick post from me this morning - I'm in a rush as I have a Podiatrist appointment to try to sort out my feet!  I'm having trouble walking with any sort of balance just lately, hence the appointment - and NO... it's not the WINE!  I think my arches may have fallen or some-such!

Anyway, enough about that - here's my Monday creation for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.... this is Polka Dot Pals Alpini..  pulling her little teddy along through the snow.  As the challenge over at LMMS is still 'Thanks or Support', I decided to do a thank you card to use after Christmas...

My Favourite Stamp/Image!

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

Time for another In The Pink challenge.... and this one was a little bit difficult to THINK about - but not to do - thank goodness!

Our theme is

MY FAVOURITE STAMP/IMAGE

Hmmmm.... now...  there's the difficult bit!  My favourite image will depend on what I'm colouring at the time - sooo I had to do some thinking - and some looking back on my older cards.... and these little Sugar Nellie Fairies come up over and over.....  SOOOOOOO the decision was made!

I think I coloured this little fairy in blues last year - but I do think she suits her pink too!  and she did need lots of glitter - no self respecting fairy is seen without her sparkle!

I decided once again to make her wings and star 3D - the only problem being that another image has to be printed out and then the wings have to be cut off - to use on the first.  I get tears in my eyes each time I cut wings from a fairy (even if it's to use on another)......  especially if the rest of her sits in my waste bin for too long staring up at me so sadly...  sniff........

Materials:
Sugar Nellie Elf Made Magic Digi Image
Paper - No name sorry - been in my stash for years - bought in the US.
Sentiment - Purple Onion
Die - Dienamics Pierced Circle Stax, Lil' Inkers Stitched Tag
Colouring - Copics
Skins: E000/00/21/11, R20
Hair - E23
Pinks - RV00/52/63/55, R89
Greens - YG63, G94/99
Shading C0/1/2/3
Sharpies Poster Paint Pen for White Dots
Stickles, Glitter, Seam Binding and Gem from Stash

Just to show the difference, here's how I coloured her last year...

Hope you'll join in the fun at In The Pink - there's a fab Bunny Zoe's £10 Voucher to be won!

Yes..... another Christmas Card...

Hi Lovely Bloggers.....

I'm back today with a quick post to show my DT card for Little Miss Muffet Stamps...  meet Star Chester (named for obvious reasons!!)  I fancied doing another bit of traditional colouring - and I was happy with how it turned out - so I think Mr Mojo may be showing his face a little bit again....

Materials:
Die - MFT In and Out Diagonal Stitched Square (altered to be a rectangle!)
Paper - PolkaDoodles
Sentiment - Pebbles Inc Rub-on
Colouring - Copics
Reds R24/27/46/39, E47
Greens YG25/63, G99
Chester E42/43/33/23/13, R20
Shading - W1/3/5
Gem, Sequins and Ribbon from stash

The challenge at LMMS is Anything Goes - hope you'll pop over and join in the fun.  There's also fabulous Weekly Giveaways too...

http://littlemissmuffetchallenges.blogspot.com/p/weekly-promo.html

Now... I mentioned that I altered the die - all I do is run it partially through my cuttlebug to cut half way around the image- then rewind and remove the die - placing it again around the image but from the other end...  you can feel when it 'sit's' in place with the cuts already there - and then run it again only halfway through the cuttlbug and back.  Hey presto - you can turn a square die into a rectangle...  it works with dies that have a very regular pattern like this one and the stitched ones.

I didn't sleep well last night so was up early this morning - and I watched the sun come up while finishing this card...  it was beautiful to watch - and I'm happy to say it's still shining here!

Big hugs

Hi Lovely Friends...

The weeks are really rushing by at the moment - and because of that it's time for another challenge at In The Pink.

Our theme this time is

FANCY FOLD OR SHAPED

and I've got to admit, Mr Mojo deserted me here so I'm not at all happy with what I came up with.  I left it till last minute which didn't help - I was on the DT naughty step all on my ownio feeling very sad and lonely..  sniff... sniff (pass the tissues please - my sleeve is full!)  Anyway... here's what I came up with WITHOUT Mr Mojo's help...  Unfortunately the lack of light didn't help either for the photograph.... the card in real life is not as blue-ey pink as shows here!

Materials:
Paper - Dotty is Anna Marie Designs - Patterned is just a scrap
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/21/11/04, R20

One of Santa's Elves...

Hi Lovely Bloggers....

OK - I'm seriously in the festive mood!!   (It's been raining so heavily that I've had no choice really!) I've had these little elves for a couple of weeks now and they've been keeping on 'giving me the eye' from the 'to do' box on my desk, begging for a little bit of colour......  SO, as I had a bit of quiet time - I decided it was their time to be in the spotlight...

This is the first one of a set of three - the clear stamp set is from My Favourite Things and is called (unsurprisingly!) Santa's Elves!  I thought he definitely needed traditional colours - and wanted to do a shaker card too..  so this is what I came up with..

Sentiment - My Favourite Things Hand Lettered Holiday (gold embossed)
Paper - Graphic 45 Twas the Night Before Christmas
Dies: Lil' Inkers Stitched Square and Stitched Circles
Colouring - Copics

Reds - R24/46/39, E47
Greens - G21/07/99
Yellows - YR21/23
Shading - W0/1
Glossy Accents, Glitter, Sequins from stash

Hope you like my card - I did enjoy the making!

A LITTLE JOY....

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

I can't tell you how simple today's card is - it's from the new release of digi images at Whimsie Doodles - HERE.

This image is JOY TILES - self-explanatory really......  all I did was shade in the tiles slightly - the wood-grain effect is already there..  then I shaded the snowman and coloured his carrot nose and ear muffs.  I cut round each of the tiles, mounted them on gold mirri card, added a little bow and some holly leaves onto a diecut red layer.... added all that onto more gold mirri card...  and hey presto - my card was done!  It's only a small 4" x 4" card (hence the LITTLE in the title of this post) - but the more I look at it the happier it makes me!

Materials:
Martha Stewart Holly Punch
Copics -
Tiles - E40/41/42/43
Snowman W0/1/2
Carrot Y38, YR18
Ear Muffs R24/46/39
Red Stickles for holly berries and glitter for snowman and holly

Like I said..........  such a very easy card.... but I'm happy to say, an effective one too!  I think I may produce a few of these!

If you're off to the NEC show today - enjoy yourselves and spend LOADS as I give you full permission!! hehe!

Big hugs
