Paper Nest Dolls...... Avery in her posh Easter Bonnet!

Hi Ladies

Today it's my DT card for Paper Nest Dolls..  It's another Anything Goes challenge.. (don't we all love them?) so it's easy to join in with at the Challenge Blog HERE.

I chose Easter Bonnet Avery to colour... and hmmmmm weirdly enough, my pink pens jumped out for her!  She's available as a rubber stamp HERE.

The card recipe is pretty self explanatory...  the die is Spellbinders Floral Oval, lace is from my trimmings drawer...  and paper is from my stash (sorry it didn't have a name but I've used it before..)  And the sentiment was done on the PC and punched with a Stampin Up oval punch.  I did TRY to put some flowers on this card.... but ended up taking them off again.  What is it with me and flowers???? hehe!

I'd love you to pop over to the Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Blog and see what the lovely Dollies have come up with for your inspiration.... they are a talented bunch!  And there are such lovely prizes to be won too.

Hope everyone is well and that you're all going to enjoy the lovely weather we're expecting this week..  I think I'll be in my craft room for a good while, as I've got lots of DT cards to get organised.  Now WHY didn't I do them last week when I was quiet?  Oh I KNOW... cos I was making cards for orders that I'd had!! I'm a busy, busy bee at the mo - and you'll be fed up of the sight of me by the end of the week!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

I'm late.... I'm late......... for a very important date........

Morning Ladies...

I couldn't help putting that title for this little white rabbit...  he's hurrying along and definitely looks like he's late..  but in fact it's not Easter for a while yet!

I really love Whimsie Doodles images...  they lend themselves so well to fussy cutting and 3D-ing the odd bit here and there...  This one is Bunny Egg and can be found HERE.

I coloured with Copics and Promarkers - then 3D'd the egg and hair bow.  I used my embossing tool around the edge of the rabbit so he looks more 'rounded'...  and used foam pads to 3D him onto the pink.  The papers are from LOTV Nitwits Bonnets and Bowties pad... and look just right for Easter in my opinion..

I used a Marianne's Creatables fancy circle die for the white...  combined with a MFT circle for the pink bazzil..  then matted and layered and added a little bow from some ribbon I've had in my stash for about 12 years or so - I got lots of rolls in different colours from America when I first went in 2002- see, I DO use my hoarded stash!  Of course, this little rabbit had to have some glitter to appear on my blog...  then I decided that as there was a little mark (goodness knows where that came from!) on the pink bazzil, I'd do a few pearl dots to hide it so dug out my Cosmic Pearl Glue.

This is one of eight Easter cards I've been busy making that are headed for a lovely lady in Bermuda.... my daughter is doing a good job as my agent and so I'm now selling internationally!! hehe

Hope you like and will stop by and let me know you've been..

Have a good weekend all whatever you're up to...

Easter/Spring Challenge at The Sugar Bowl

Hi Ladies

Hope you're all well...  the sun is shining here today.... but it's not kidding me... it's COLD out there - so I'm going to wrap up warm when I go for coffee with my friend this morning!  Barry and I went up to Northallerton to do a bit of pottering yesterday and I thought it looked nice weather... but I ended up cold and wet as it started sleeting while we were out!

The Sugar Bowl

I'm here today with my card for the new challenge over at The Sugar Bowl...  the theme is Spring/Easter and I thought this little lady fitted the bill (bill/beak??  get it??)

I tried and tried to think of a sentiment..  but couldn't come up with one so it's without at the moment... though my lovely OH did suggest I should add 'I said EASTER not GEESTER'.... Hmmmm I don't think so!!

The image is Goosey Gander and is available in rubber from Funky Kits HERE.  I've coloured her with copics... diecut her with my Li'l Inkers Stitched Rectangles,  used paper from Pink Petticoat... then some ribbon, gems and diecut flowers (Marianne Creatables LR0145)

I've used a different card style for this CAS card...  I thought it suited!  I saw this on, hmmm, I think it was Create and Craft...  and it's so easy to do and still folds up into an envelope.  Don't know what it's called, but if you want to know more, I can always give you the measurements.  It really stands quite strong.

I hope you'll pop over to The Sugar Bowl to see what my lovely teamies have come up with for the Easter/Spring theme..  I can tell you now, they're creations are gorgeous!  Then why don't you enter.. but don't forget to use a Sugar Nellie image... you have plenty of time to do it and there's such a lovely prize of FOUR rubber stamps of your choice!!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting

All Dressed Up - New March images!!

Hi Ladies

Here I am again with another new gorgeous image from Wendy at All Dressed Up.  I think this one is rapidly becoming my new  favourite of Wendy's images..... hmmm, but then again, I say that about each one of these ADU images I use at the TIME I use it...... they are really ALL so wonderful - it's a very difficult decision!

Anyway....  this one is 'A Time to Share' available HERE.

I decided to use a slightly different sentiment...  so I asked if it was OK for me to do that.  Always best to ask the artist before any change is made.

I loved using lots of blue for a change, but.... well..... errr.... my pink crept in..    I did print the umbrella out a second time (even though the first was cut using the 'out of the box' technique... but I really wanted to give it depth so out came my foam pads.  I coloured with Copics, used my Sharpie Poster Paint Pen for the little white dots, added glitter, a couple of Li'l Inker Stitched Hearts, all onto a Nestie Label shape...  and it was done.  The paper was from a Prima pad I had...  which I think matched so well with the rain drops, and I added a little tiny bit of ric rac to finish.

Here are the fabulous new images for this launch:

Something for everyone don't you think??  You may have seen already some of the fabulous creations the lovely DT have come up with.

Don't forget our current challenge is to 'Use a Button' - where you could be in with a chance of winning three digi images of your choice!  We'd also love you to join in our Facebook Group... to share your ADU creations and chat to fellow crafters.

I'll be back soon, but until then,

A little fun baby card..

This one is another quickie, ladies...  I saw this little Martha Stewart punch being used on a card on Pinterest and couldn't resist..  and of course mine had to be pink - lol - wonder why?

The embossing folder is from Quickutz - it's 'Polka Dot', the tiny scalloped edge is from MFT..  and the tag and sentiment are from Papertrey Ink.  The pink gingham ribbon is from my (ever increasing) stash.  Hope you like this very, very simple card!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

Kiddies time...

Hi Girls

Challenge time again at In The Pink.... and this time our theme is Kiddies Corner (including babies too - yes we're cruel here at The Pink Palace and put babies in the corner - hehe!)

I decided to use a new stamp that I bought from LOTV at the Harrogate show.. but this card was actually thrown yesterday morning in a few mins, as I was running very late.... and being as I nag the DT at In The Pink... I have now slapped my own hands for running behind!!

Papers: Had them in stash nearly 10 years!
Die: Spellbinders Floral Oval
Lace, Ribbon  and Glitter from Stash

Hope we'll see you pop over with an entry and to see what the lovely Pink Ladies have come up with...  it's so lovely to see lots of crafters who love pink entering - and as it's a 'just for fun' challenge.... it makes it even more special!

Have a lovely day..
Big hugs

Another Dolly Creation...

Hi Girls

It's time again for another Dolly challenge over at The Paper Nest Dolls..  and it's another Anything Goes theme.. so no reason not to enter...

http://thepapernestdollschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

I chose to use Birthday Balloon Ellie...  and I decided to move away from my beloved pink and go for a touch of lilac!!  I used an embossing folder for the background...  then coloured Ellie with my Copics and fussy cut around her..  so she stands out from the white panel.  I cut the balloons out separately and added glitter (of course)...  then added a ribbon and button and she was complete!

Hope you like her as much as I do...  she's available HERE!

Remember, there are some lovely prizes to be won if you enter... check them out on the challenge blog.

It's the start of the week, hope this weather stays and you all have a good one!!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

And here's the spoils....

Hi Girls...

For those that didn't see my post on Facebook.....  it's confession time!  Sorry about the rubbish photo... but I had to stand far back to get all the goodies in!!

It was lovely seeing my wonderful blogging friends again (particularly Christine and Elaine) which is really what I go for...  but I've got to say, Harrogate was nowhere near the show it used to be...  it was in a smaller hall to start with.... everyone was bunched up and the stands were smaller..  and the crowds were forced into smaller areas so it was really difficult to see what you wanted to get to.  I don't think the attendance was as good as previously.... and I think it'll be less next time if they carry on like this.  Also.... there was nothing really special there I felt this time..  Yes I know, I bought stuff... but remember the days when there were things at shows you'd never seen before being demonstrated?  But even the demonstrators yesterday appeared to be a little bored!

And of course, there's  been so much shoplifting and pick-pocketing at the previous shows.. the stallholders are now limited in what they can bring... very few take Copics or the like..

We left around 1.30 - 2  ish.... and the car park by then was emptying!

My lovely OH (who came with me and has the patience of a saint.. thank you hon) and I then went for a lovely bite to eat and a glass of wine (pint for him) at our special local inn...  Happy Days!

Big hugs

Shhhhhhhhhh... it's oh soooooo quiet... Now what about the Harrogate Show??

Hi Girls...

So sorry that I haven't been around with any cards this week, I've had a quiet one - all my DT cards come together next week, so I've taken a bit of time out while I've been getting organised!  But I have been keeping up with my commenting so know 'what's occurring' as a certainly Welsh lady would say...

ANYWAY... the point of the post.....  I'm going to the Harrogate Papercrafts Show tomorrow...  meeting up with a couple of lovely blogging buddies...  Anyone else going to be there??  If so, say hello - as I'm not the best at recognising people.... nor even seeing people if they're not right up in front of my face with a name badge on!  I promise I won't be ignoring you...  but I will probably need a nudge and I apologise in advance!  Now...  on the other hand - I have a good sense of direction and am a good navigator -  seems everyone has their strength!

I'm looking forward to the show as always - and would love to say hi if you're around!

Hugs

A card for Mummy...

Hi Girls

Hope you're all well and seeing signs of Spring around the corner...  and I hope the weather stays as mild as it's been of late..  I really do think we've got away with it this Winter..  (so far! keeping fingers firmly crossed that is..)

I'm here with my card for our new challenge at IN THE PINK.. and this time the theme is Mother's Day/Special Lady.

This little cutie has been sitting on my desk for a little while now waiting to be inked up, stamped and coloured..  and as I thought that she's be perfect for this challenge, I went ahead and gave her the pink treatment!

Card Recipe:
Image: CandiBeans Wendy's Bouquet
Colouring: Copics (RV00, R81, R83, R85, R89 for Dress)
Die: Spellbinder Nestie Large Ovals
Paper: Bella Pink Fusion Flourishes
Ribbon from Stash - this is actually deep pink, but looks red on the photo!)
Glitter and Cosmic Pearl Glue for dots from Stash
Sentiment done on computer - Stampin Up Punch for oval

I hope you like this little one..  she really is going to be one of my firm favourite stamps of all time I think... as I can't wait to ink her up again!

Hope you'll pop over to In The Pink and join in the fun...  as Mother's Day is just around the corner it's an easy challenge - and for the lovely ladies outside the UK who celebrate Mother's Day later on in the year then a Special Lady card would be fine.  See you there!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting
PS..  This card is dedicated to MY own mummy... who passed away in 1989 (I still miss her), and to all those other Mummies out there who need a little love!

Paper Nest Dolls Fancy Folds theme

Hi Ladies

And yes, I'm back again with another card... that's two in one 24 hour period..  some kind of record for me!

Today's card is for the new challenge at Paper Nest Dolls - the theme is Fancy Folds... so here I am with a card using Little Birdie Ellie who is available as a rubber stamp here.  Now for this card, I didn't want to show the bird as it wouldn't have fitted in the die I was using, so I just took the decision not to ink that part of the stamp.

I'm very much into the image doing the talking on my cards at the moment..  so I've kept it CAS.

I used Copics and Flexmarkers...  the blues are Copic BG70, and Flexmarkers are Dove Grey and Cloud Blue (this is more for my own info when I look back than anyone elses!!  I tend to forget nice colour combos and always wish I'd noted them!)
Grass: Prismacolour pencils
Dies: Memory Box Delicate Vine, Nestie shape
DP: Prima Meadowlark Grace

Hope you like what I've done with this little lady, and that you'll pop over to the challenge blog and join in.

I'm not going to waffle on today as I'm sure you've heard enough from me lately!
Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

All Dressed Up time..

Hi Ladies

Hope you've had a lovely weekend!

Now, it's new challenge time at All Dressed Up, and our theme for this challenge is 'Clean and Simple.'  As most of my cards could be probably be described as CAS - I tried to be even more so!  Not sure I succeeded, but ah well...!!

I chose 'I Love My Puppy' which you can find in the All Dressed Up Etsy store HERE.  Like all of Wendy's images, she was a dream to colour..  and, well, you can see...  I decided she had to have lots of PINK!

Card Recipe:
Colouring: Copics
Dies: Spellbinders Rectangle, Magnolia Doohickey Hearts Border
Papers: from stash
Ribbon and Gem - again, from stash

This challenge will run until 15 March so you have plenty of time to join in.  You do have to use an All Dressed Up image or paper for the Challenge, but there are some freebie images on the All Dressed Up site here...  so it couldn't be easier.  Check out what my lovely co-teamies have come up with on the challenge blog.... there really are some fabulous creations.

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..
